Spectacular solo gig, 29th February |
|
An entertaining finish to a gig!
After a tremendously successful gig at The Manor Folk Club on Sunday 29th February, Phil sat at the piano stool, ready to sing the well-justified encore song, when the stool fell off the stage, cartwheeling Phil towards the wall at the side. With a skill and dexterity unseen in most folk music venues, Phil finished in style, a la Olga Corbett, and went on to cooly give a rousing finish to a very entertaining night.
"I was more concerned about the guitar I had borrowed from Phil Chisnall, which, have to admit, got a slight chip (which I've since had repaired). Anyway, it seemed to cause some amusement, which at my expense, is fine."
Unlike Ryan Adams, no broken wrists! |
